Project Life Tuesday

Monday- March 21- Painting Day!
Tuesday, March 22- this is a rare moment- both of my kids looking at the camera! Grace 2 yr 9 mo. Graham 7 mo. (almost)
Wednesday, March 23- Our friend J. came to play for a while. Grace and J are three days apart and are very much like siblings!
Thursday, March 24- MOPS- My green group. I love MOPS. I look forward to it each time. We always do fun crafts and there is good conversation and ALWAYS good food!
Friday, March 25 (Grandma Shirley's birthday!) Our friends the Rileys gave Grace this dress- it's the fanciest one she's ever had. She LOVED wearing it and spinning around.
Saturday, March 26. We went to Warsaw to a Thomas the Train party. Guess who was more imporant than Thomas? She was so thrilled to see the Easter Bunny. She's holding her hand up over her face because she's excited/nervous/shy/thrilled. When we left she made me take her over to him to show him her balloon, ring, and Thomas cards she won.

Sunday, March 27- Reading with Grandpa Wilson. Grandma and Grandpa have the BEST toys. She could hardly stop to talk to us or read a book with all of thier goodies. :)

Praise Him!

My cousin and her husband have wanted to be parents for a long, long, time and tomorrow it looks like it's going to be the day! They have an adoptive mom who has chosen them and is going to be induced tomorrow. I broke my no blog rule and checked hers for updates and found out that tomorrow is the day!

I remember not being able to sleep the night before we went in to have Grace. I remember being so stinking excited, but also nervous, but mostly excited and I know that C and M are going through the same emotions. I'm sure it's motherhood (hormones) but I cannot help but tear up at this joyous news for them. I have believed with them for a long time that God would answer their prayers to be parents. Praise the Lord for answered prayers. They don't happen in our time, but they are always, always good.

I immediately thought of Psalm 139 when I read her post. God knows our thoughts, he knows our hearts, and he knew us when he knit us together. He has such a special plan for this precious little being and I am so thankful that He's included my cousin in this plan.

Please pray for them tomorrow. (Wednesday) I know you don't know them (well some of you do!) but our prayers are always heard! Pray for this birth mom that is making a brave, tough choice- Give her strength, courage, and peace. Thanks!

Psalm 139:13-14 (New International Version, ©2011)

13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

What you've missed...

or what I've been missing telling you! I gave up blogs (other people's, not mine) and facebook for Lent and have been away from the computer more than usual. That's a good thing. Need to find my balance. So.. a few things you've missed...
This.. this I have been waiting for. Reading on the couch with my girl.

And this.. Shane's birthday! I made him tacos and his favorite traditional birthday cake- pumpkin cake. I'll post the recipe later. It's SO good! :)

So sorry

No excuse... no excuse. I WILL have lots of pictures this week. Stay tuned. Also, posted a recipe for thai honey peanut chicken. YUM!

Look!

Look what I got in the mail this week! It's our blog in a book! I went here and made the first 6 months of the blog which was 2008. I did the condensed version to save pages which can add up so the captions end up not being with the pictures but that's ok for me. Can you see itty bitty Grace in that cover shot? :) Can't wait to get 2009, and 2010! (I will be waiting for a sale though!)

Project Life Late again

Monday Feb 21- My smiley boy. He's so much fun.

Tuesday- Feb. 22 no picture. I need to work on this!
Wednesday Feb. 23- We spent a few days with Grandpa and Grandma Diane. Not a great picture but you try to get a two year old to look! :)
Thursday- Febuary 24 Gracie's world.. lots of toys on the living room floor, watching tv with daddy. Perfect.
Friday- Feb. 25th. We had to run to Shipshewana and Grace fell asleep. When she woke up I told her we had a surprise for her. We went to the Mercantile building and rode the carousel! She loved it last year but this year she just wasn't so sure. Then when we were leaving she said "mom, where's my surprise?" ha!
Saturday- Feb. 26 Dad and Graham sharing some time together.
Two pictures for Sunday the 27th. Our family

and a sad attempt at both kids. To be fair.. I got a GREAT one of them with mom and dad on mom's camera. Grace was just "done" We think she was sad mom and dad were leaving. All day she kept asking for them.
