Goodbye tooth!

This is late because last night she pulled out another tooth!  But last month she had one loose and she and her dad were ready to tackle it.
Graham and I were the spectators. :)
I love this one because you can see Shane working on it in the background!
Funny, but you can't see it on this pic, it's the lower left one!
But isn't she growing up so much?  Love that girl.  Goodbye tooth!

Gav

Gav is at such a fun age.  He LOVES going outside.  He can't get enough.   He will go to the door multiple times a day and point.
He likes to make this face when we say smile.  I love it.
This is the shot that he will hate me for in about 10 years or so.  Ha!
He is 15 months (almost 16!) and loves green beans.  He can eat almost a whole can!  He loves being outside and reading books.  His favorite place to be is on our fireplace ledge (praise the Lord he didn't find that out till after winter since we aren't burning wood anymore!)He can sign "all done, more, please, bye bye and hi".   He sleeps from 7-7 with two fairly good naps still.  HE also LOVES his Daddy like nobody else.  (who wouldn't?!)  He is most definitely one of the greatest joys in our life.

Happy Birthday Shane!

Shane's birthday came quick this year!  He actually had to travel for his birthday and I didn't remember till the day before so I quickly scrambled to get out party on.  I made him steak and baked potatoes and homemade parmesan herb bread (in the back) and then a butterscotch pie.  I didn't even know he liked butterscotch pie!  Did you know that you have to stir butterscotch pie constantly for 30-45 minutes?  You do.  That's a lot of standing people.
The end result of the pie.  My first time at meringue.  I was pretty proud of it but learned it's best to make it in advance and let it cool completely. it was a really runny butterscotch pie.
and this bread.  If you want to feel like a rock star in the kitchen, make this bread.  Just go to "all recipes" and search parmesan herb bread.  I promise it's easy.  The keys to making it great are a round casserole dish and a kitchen aid.  All you need.
And here is our birthday boy!  Grateful for another year of Shane.
Happy birthday Shane!
