Like her Mama

I was writing in my journal and got up for something. When I came back this is what I found.
I love that she copies us now. She is trying to be like her mama!

A busy weekend

Here is our busy bee at church last Sunday. Our children's director brought this puppy in for her message. Gracie was in L.O.V.E. She was so gentle and sweet with him!
She really liked holding him but she also REALLY liked the toy that was in his cage.
It was a toss up which she liked more!

We've been so blessed to have such great family help us out this season as we've been doing Upward Basketball and Cheerleading with our church. It's been 8 straight Saturdays and we've had help from both of our families with watching Grace. Throw in some good ole morning sickness with that and you've got a tired/sick/busy mom! This past weekend Grandma Diane and Sara came to stay with Grace. Grace absolutely LOVED Sara. She followed her around and each night when it was time for bed Sara put her down with not one fuss. Sara, you thought I was kidding about working your schedule out to be here each night around 7:30... :)

Whew!

We've been so busy! Sorry for the lack of posts. I'll make up for it with some cute pics/videos today.

For family of Grace - I'm sorry but your sweet little pumpkin is too busy to stop and pose for pictures anymore. When I say "Say Cheese Grace!" She turns, runs and while running away calls out "cheeeeeesssseeeese"

I often get pictures like this one
She was concentrating very hard here.
Did manage to get one!

most pics look like this.

For family of Ian- Your sweet little pumpkin is not too busy (or to big to get away from me!) Therefore it's easier to take fun pictures of him. :)

Snow

After Grace woke up from her nap on Tuesday I bundled her up and we picked up Daddy and went for a walk.
Love this pic- big feet- little feet
She likes the snow until she gets stuck.

Or falls face first in it (which she did)

I'm thankful that Shane works so close and can get away for walks like this one.

Tuesday (well I wrote it on Tues. and posted on Wed)

200 - the number of smiles Grace gave to her Grandma and Grandpa Wilson this past weekend.
29 - the number of times Grace called out for her friend Caroline yesterday. She loves Caroline and calls her "Kate" So cute.
13 - the number of books I read to Grace last night

5 - the number of kisses she gave to Daddy- so happy he's home
3 - the number of dirty diapers I changed yesterday.
1 - the number of times we had to tell her it was time for bed. This was because of the present she received yesterday- a homemade (and beautiful!) pillowcase from Gina in Utah. She LOVED going to bed! Thanks Gina!

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for:
  • friends. I have amazing friends who are willing to help us in so many ways
  • a fantastic Upward season. We are halfway through and I'm so thankful to be a part of such a great ministry!
  • a visit from my parents! They are coming down to spend the weekend and help watch Grace on Saturday.
  • a getaway for Shane. He's on his way to Utah today for a few days of Skiing. He deserves this break and he LOVES to ski!
  • white grape juice. We rarely buy juice but it was sounding good and it was just as delicious as I remembered! I gave Grace a small cup of it last week. She rarely ever has anything other than milk or water. She LOVED the juice. She finished it in about 2.3 seconds and then started calling jjjjuuuuiiiiicccceeeee jjjjjjuuuiiiiccceeeee!!! Every time she saw the cup that had the juice in in she called for it. Think she likes sugar???
