maybe you didn't get enough of her yet?

She didn't actually crawl there. That would be beneath her. At her request, I placed her on her knees by her daddy's bag.

Then she found the zipper. Which is close enough to a tag.

She stayed like this for a long, long time. Until her knees gave out and she was hanging on by a thread.

But that wasn't enough to get her away from that zipper! :)

Standing

She can't get there by herself, but when she's up, she loves it.

Mommy Time

I think that staying home with Grace is wonderful. I'm so thankful I have the chance to do so. But sometimes I get caught up in the routine... get her up, nurse her, feed her, change her, put her in her jumper.... then it's nap time, then lunch, and of course, there is cleaning the kitchen, laundry, bathrooms, blogging, and other house stuff, plus some time for me, and before I know it, I haven't really played with her, or just enjoyed her. I'm going to work hard at doing more of that. More quality time. Soon she's going to want to play with other people, not think her mom is so cool, and not give me that gorgeous smile so freely so I want to enjoy today.

7 months

These were taken at 7 months.... a few weeks ago. Time if flying! Grace has found the joy of tags.. anything with a tag... if she can get it to her mouth, she will. I never took the little tag off of this lamb until she mangled it.
at 7 months... Grace can
* sit up very well on her own
* eat lots and lots of things, including some crackers and puffs
* play with toys and switch them from hand to hand
* get cranky when you take her away from what she wants to play with
* look for something that is out of sight, most of the time it is the remote which she LOVES to play with
* stand holding onto something (she LOVES to do this)
* babble on and on
* make funny faces. She's just starting to really pay attention to our faces and begin to try to copy them
* laugh a big belly laugh when we play with her
* recognize when we are not with her. She has started to cry in the church nursery!

Finally

I'm going to type quick because I'm paranoid I'll lose these! I couldn't resist this one.
We were able to have breakfast with Jodi, Betsey, Jayma, and Joanne over the holidays. I love these girls!

PHOTOS

There are no photos here. BECAUSE EVERY TIME I TRY (and i have tried MANY times) TO UPLOAD THEM THEY GET LOST. It's seriously making me cranky. But I can tell you this. I think walking is in the very near future. Grace loves to stand and she's starting to move her feet more. She still hasn't mastered crawling, well, she actually hasn't even crawled at all. But nonetheless walking is coming.

Pretend there are super cute pictures here. You pretend and I'll keep trying.

We are here

The computer isn't allowing me to upload pics but here is what is coming
- Christmas part 3 (and the last part!)
- teeth pics
- cheerios
- hands
- 7 month lamb pics!

Grace has been sick this week. It's no fun. She is starting to feel better though and that makes me happy.  No one likes the blue sucker thing coming at their nose ALL DAY long.

She's a rough sleeper

This is how she looked when I went in to check on her. It was a rough nap- lost a sock, the other is half off, and one arm out of her shirt. Whew. Glad she survived that one!

Christmas Part 2

waving to all the paparazzi....
Her favorite part about presents

Merry Christmas from Mommy and Daddy

Ok, probably the best part about Christmas. After TWO attempts to get to the mall for the picture with Santa (who knew that he comes to the community center in North Webster but it's in November? ok, well lots of other people knew, but not me), we got to the line. And it was long. Very long. And Santa was just getting ready to take an hour break. AND it was $15 for 1 picture. So, us being the cheapskates we are, just took a picture of Grace with Santa IN the background! See him back here? He's there, just look hard. Merry Christmas Gracie!

Trying out her new present from Grandma Shirley. She's got a ways to go to touch the pedals but she still loves it.
