It's coming

The SNOW is coming. The newscasters have been talking about it all weekend. I think we are going to get just snow but southern Indiana is supposed to get some major ice. I think we're going to get 8 inches or so? Not sure. I don't think we usually get the brunt of the snow. It hits north of us and south. Praying that's the same for this week. But if it does...

and her fees are nominal. A few chocolate chip cookies, some m&ms, ice cream... really, she's flexible in her rates.

She will probably bring her assistant. She makes him do most of the work anyway. Tyrant boss.

Project Life Week 3

Finally! I'm so frustrated with Picasa. I have no idea what I'm doing. I upload my pictures and have don't show up there. Then I get them all saved under an album and write the day of the week on them and lose half! THEN.. I can't figure out how to import more than 4 into a blog post. So I have to go back and add from iphoto with no days of the week on them. I'll figure it out by week 52!

Saturday- Jan 15. No picture. Week 2 of Upward and I was TIRED! Daddy forgot to take some pictures. I'll use this day to put a journaling card about Upward and the ministry it is (amazing!) for others.

Sunday- Jan 16. Skate Party! Our Church had another one and Grace had just as much fun! We had many Upward families there too.

Monday- Jan 17- Shane had most of the day off so we did a little rearranging in our living room. We really like it!

Tuesday, Jan. 18 - Oliver came over to play today. Grace loves the Gernand kids so very much. They had a great time playing dress up and trains.

Wednesday Jan. 19- Today we broke out the playdough! Grace loved it. We made many snowmen and also a few snakes.

Thursday Jan. 20- I go to MOPS (Mom's of Preschoolers) and love it. This is my group. We had a playdate and made cake balls (yum! and homemade graham crackers) Grace loved playing there. It was at Leanne's house and she has a Graham who is a little over a year and Grace thought it was fun that there was another Grahammers!

Friday Jan. 21- Pudding! We made pudding for Daddy and someone LOVED scrapping the bowl!

Thankful Thursday

Today I'm thankful for:

• a MOPS playdate. Grace had a great time playing at a new house with new friends and we had fun talking. Playdates are not uninterruped mom time but they are still nice. We didn't leave to house at all yesterday so it was good to get out today.
• a healthy body- I'm working on getting in shape and I'm thankful I have good health so I can exercise and get fit!
• That it's Thursday! Shane's been gone for three days and we are ready to have him home today!

• coffee- I was given a Keurig for Christmas and I LOVE it! (thanks, Honey!) It's so nice to have just one cup each day and no clean up.
• Scripture. I'm working on memorizing Psalm 40:5 this month. It's a great reminder about ALL of God's blessings!

Project Life Week Two

Saturday- Our first Saturday of Upward Games! I was gone all day- Shane stayed home with the kids. He's such a good dad- they love being with him.

Sunday-We took Gracie skating with our church a few months ago and she loved it. So when I saw these at Goodwill I had to buy them. I was going to save them but she found them (I didn't really hide them well, or at all I guess!) She was so excited!

Monday-Grace has a great imagination! She was playing this day with my makeup and her doctor kit, in her butterfly costume!

Tuesday- While Graham was napping I bundled up Grace and myself and we filled all the bird feeders. She loved catching the snowflakes on her tongue and getting some time in her playhouse.

Wednesday- I'm not so into pictures of me right now, but Kelsey and the kids came over and she snapped this- Graham was too cute not to put it in.

Thursday- Graham is chewing on everything these days including his arms!

Friday- Thanks to Kelsey we got a date night in! We went to Ultimate Date Night at the church of God. It was a fun evening! (and look Jamal- two pictures of me in one post. Ha!)

Skating

We had a church skating party yesterday. Grace got to use her roller skates again. She loves loves loves to skate. She could be out there the whole time, and she's actually not too bad!

There would be no way we could do this if it wasn't for our pastor and his wife. Shane is the master DJ of the event (smile) and so he's pretty busy. Pastor Dave and Debb either play with Graham or they are helping with Grace. We are so thankful for a church family that is so supportive! It was a fun afternoon. :)

Project Life 2011

I am starting a new project this year. It's called Project Life. I got the idea from here . Jessica Turner's blog is great. She introduced this a few years ago but I never thought I could do it, Then last year's album went on sale in the fall and I bought it for this year. The plan is to take a picture a day and then journal them. I got this great book that is all put together so all I have to do is the picture, journal and voila! I'm excited to try it. So far it's been fun! I'm doing mine from Saturday to Friday since Jan 1 was a Saturday this year.

Jan 1. Happy New Year!

I realized that we were giving Grace sippys all day and when she didn't want to eat her lunch or dinner she'd just fill up on milk. So we started cups with lunch and dinner. She's doing great!

Graham's 4 month well baby check up. He weighed 13 lbs 10 oz and 26 in. long. He also got 3 shots that day (boo!)

Daddy came home from work and Gracie played "sleep" with him!

We made a spontaneous trip to visit Grandma Shirley. We shopped all day and got some great deals!

I went to Huntington to have lunch with Jodi and Jo and then went to visit my good friend Eva and her kids. They living in CA so visits with them are rare and so fun.

Jo taught Gracie how to make spiders so on Friday when we were coloring she wanted "piders" over and over. Then she wanted to take a picture for Daddy. :)

Friday

Happy Friday! We have a busy weekend with Upward Basketball and Cheerleading. I missed Thankful Thursday yesterday but I am thankful for time with friends this week, for a visit to Grandma's and for my husband who has stepped up to help with the kids while I'm in Upward world! :)
