I totally am a blogger. I resisted it for so long, but it's who I am... I'm also a blog stalker but that's another story (smile). I realized it when I started adding a "few things" to the blog today... So check out some of the changes... Gracie's age, a tracker of how many visitors I have, and some of the blogs I read. I'll add to them but seriously there are too many. :) Yes, I do take care of my daughter during the day AND manage to keep a (somewhat) clean house in addition to keeping up on all my blogs. But want to know about more? Just ask!

Aaron! this is Gracie's new funny face that I have NEVER been able to get on camera. She did is especially for you!

Here she is carefully proofing her note to you. She took a lot of time looking it over VERY CLOSELY.

And she was happy with it! She couldn't even contain herself, she was SO excited!

Here she is! She wants you to know that even though you aren't "into babies" (smile) she loves you tons and tons and she hopes you have a super happy day! (she also sends a shout out to Hannah!)

valentines Part 2

these are all the valentine pictures I got of Grace. guess what she is doing? Watching her dad play Wii.

Do you notice something?

ok, not in this one. Here she is playing with her daddy (after the wii). It's blurry but still so funny.

but here again... she's watching tv. NO amount of talking, clapping, whistling could get her away from the tv. I believe that is a Hartman trait??????? Her daddy seems to be like that! :)

Valentines Day

so this one doesn't have anything to do with valentines. I just thought it was funny how she was standing.

BUT this one does! this is what I made for valentines day! You didn't get one you say? That's because they were A PAIN TO MAKE! :) I'm not one to brag but they did turn out very cute (ha ha, that's an inside joke!)

ok, can someone please tell me again how to move pictures? this is not the order I uploaded them. I've tried cutting and pasting and that does't work. I've tried dragging... And while you are at it, can you tell me why I can only ever post 5 pictures in one post?

I won't talk about the first round where I messed up all the faces, or about the part where I was kneeding and kneeding F.O.R.E.V.E.R. or about the ones I dropped (see example above)

but 6 of them turned out and they went to some sweet friends who live nearby! Happy Valentines!

Dear Grandma

Dear Grandma H,

I had fun when you were at my house. I liked playing "socks" with you. You are silly. Thank you for giving me lots of good things to eat and for making me feel better. I miss you and can't wait to play with you again.

8 months

Grace is 8 months old. She:

* has two bottom teeth, two top teeth and two more on their way (on top)

* can army crawl to get where she wants. (still need to get pictures of it!)

* weighs 14 lbs 6 oz as of yesterday when we went to visit our favorite lactation consultant, Naomi-LOVE her!

* eats toast, puffs, and crackers with her hands. She's getting very good at aiming in her mouth

* says dadadada a lot. Shane likes to think she is calling him.

* sleeps all through the night, but is an early riser. Up by 5:30-6:30 EVERY DAY

* can move herself from sitting to reach something that she wants and doesn't fall over.

* is starting to "want" to go to bed. When we take her in her room at night we "dance" with her for a minute or so. She is starting to just reach for her bed and her chi-chi. :) (no more lame dancing with us!)

PS- Look "aunt" jodi at who is FINALLY fitting into her 6-9 months clothes! :)

You are going to need to watch this.

She got to giggling so hard when I would say "boo" it was way cute.

She's getting it

She's getting the hang of feeding herself. She LOVES to pick up toast, or little cereal pieces. She makes a noise that sounds like "yummmm" when she gets them in her mouth. It's so stinkin cute.

Teething

I am sure that you thought she was perfect. Would never cry. Never fuss. Never just throw a fit on the floor because her mom wouldn't pick her up and let her chew on the phone, pad of paper, electrical cords, or whatever else she could get her hands on. Well, it's true. She would never do those things. I don't know who this baby is here in these pictures.

Grace started teething over the weekend. She's cutting her top two teeth, and possible the other two on top. One is all the way through and one is just peeking out. She's been a whiny mess.

After carefully documenting it on camera. I did pick her up. She's currently moaning over her sad life in her crib. Won't someone please come and rescue her?
