Camping Part 2

Grace did a great job sleeping in the tent!

On our way up we stopped to buy sleeping bags and also came out with this! She really likes it!

But you know how they always like the boxes better? Hannah was getting some great belly laughs in the box with Grace

She was d.i.r.t.y. :) That comes with camping I guess!

And of course, she ate lots and lots too. :)

Camping part 1

It was a cold, cloudy weekend but we still had a great time

Gracie loved it! We were right across from the water. Too cold to get in but we did walk down there a number of times.

There were 22 of us in all so plenty of love for Gracie!

We ate and ate and ate! Here is mom tending to the hobo dinners. The food was SO good. We had veggie kabobs with hot dogs, hobo dinners, s'mores, some great pasta dish, great egg omlets and Deb Burt's monster cookies. YUM!

UPDATED TO ADD: I forgot to tell you that she also says "cheese" when you take a picture of her :) I'm so behind I know. But yes we had a great time camping! Yes, Gracie is everywhere! Yes, she says Mama, Dada, woof woof, and bye bye. Yes, she signs (SHE SIGNS!) milk. Yes, she's starting to twirl and dance. I love it all.

Thankful Thursday

Today I'm thankful for:

* long walks with friends. I've enjoyed these so much this summer. Not only is it good to get out and exercise, but I love that chance to get to know friends better

* OLD FRIENDS! Last week the Webb family came to visit us. Matt and Eva are such good friends and I loved seeing them and their trio. Grace loved watching the kids swim too!

* My little walker! She is into everything! Yesterday was a first... I looked around and she was gone... she had walked back into my bathroom all by herself and started getting into things. Time to shut the doors!

* Family vacation! We are going camping this weekend in Michigan. In a tent. With a one year old.... seriously I think we are crazy. :) My whole family will be there as well as some good family friends. I'll let you know how it goes!

Wordless Wednesday

July 4th

We had a great Fourth! We started out the day relaxing with Grandma Shirley. Then we all went to the fireworks. Shane did a great job with the music. :)

Then on Saturday we went to Grandma Diane's and Grandpa's cottage. We had a great meal and enjoyed relaxing with them.

Gracie is walking all over now and having fun!

I LOVE my new tent! It's big and blue and it has a llloooonnngggg tunnel. I can go in it

I can go fast through the long tunnel

and here I am crawling out of it. See?

It's big and roomy and has lots of space for me. My mommy can even get it. And my daddy too! He takes the tunnel and chases me with it. It's funny and I laugh.

Thank you Grandma. I love my tent.

Swimming Lessons

Gracie just finished two weeks of swim lessons! Despite the fact that the pool was C.O.L.D., she loved it! Sweet little thing had blue lips by the time each lesson was finished.

Here she is jumping in! She loves the water and never fussed, even when she went under water. She did enjoy watching the other kids cry though! I could hardly get her to focus!

We had a fun time these last two weeks and I'm so thankful to have a pool nearby where we can swim! Now we're ready for the lake! :)
