Really?

Can you see what's in her hands? It's a cupcake wrapper.... well actually HALF a cupcake wrapper. I gave her a cupcake, opened it up and then cut it in half and left the wrapper on her tray.

When I looked back most of the cupcake was there but half the wrapper was gone. She ATE it! HA!

Thankful Thursday

Today I'm thankful for:

two amigos- I love seeing Grace make Ian laugh and I love watching Ian explore and learn new things

-My hard working husband. He's been working his tail off with 3 jobs- but he's getting it all done AND still finding time to play with Grace.

-New foods! She's never wanted to touch pizza before until last week and then she couldn't get enough!

-Time with Grandma Shirley. We didn't get to see her for Easter so she came up and gave Grace an egg hunt.

-candy regulations! She would have EATEN IT ALL! Now she can have a treat every day. :)

- a healthy baby. We didn't care if it was a boy or girl. We just prayed he/she would be healthy. Now we are grateful and thankful that we know HE is doing great!

We went to the Dr. today and the baby is right on track! Then we got to see our little one on the ultrasound... I loved that. We saw legs that kicked and moved, a perfect beating heart, hands that opened and seemed to wave and a little mouth that opened and closed.

Then we found out that we are having..................................

A BOY! We are having a little man. It is SO fun to know that! I really enjoyed the surprise of Grace but I love that now we can picture him and plan for a brother for Grace!

Grace was happy to have a little note to read. (she likes paper!) but she's waiting to be impressed by her little brother when he gets here. She's excited that we are excited though! She loves carrying her baby doll now and feeding her and wrapping her up. She's going to be a great big sister!

Finishing Easter

This should be the end of Easter pics. Here we are at my parents church after Easter. Shane is a great sport. They don't have nursery during the first service so he always takes Grace outside for the whole service. I wish he could hear the pastor's message more though- it's great!

Grandma Sue and Grandpa Tom gave Grace a great basket with these sunglasses which she NEVER wants to take off (unfortunately we went to visit daddy the other day at camp and lost them in the leaves-ssshhhh!!!)

She realized that there was CANDY in those eggs! I don't think she's ever eaten so much candy!

Easter

We had a fantastic Easter! That Saturday the ladies (my family's side) all went to this great little orchard and petting zoo. Grace had so much fun.

I think Hannah did too! This is a slide they have. She was demonstrating how to use it. :) Gracie will have to wait a year or two to try that one!

It was a little chilly but the rain held off. We really enjoyed our day.

Thankful Thursday

Today I'm thankful for...

• time outside. She loves to be outside. She could do bubbles all day long.

• spring break! Both Shane and I have the week off of work (camp for him, babysitting for me, but he's still working hard at everything else!) I love having him home and having lazy mornings....

• New things... I love that every day Grace is learning new things. She's starting to play and pretend more. She's also copying EVERYTHING we are saying!

• New kissy faces! I love kisses from Grace. I love that she now says "bye guys, see ya, catch you later" in one breath when we pass ANYONE!
• and ice cream. I'm thankful for ice cream. :)

Easter Eggs

The weekend before Easter Shane was working but Gracie and I got to go to an Easter egg hunt! We started off with donuts- YUM

This was a very organized egg hunt. Each child got to find 25 eggs! Grace got to about 20 and was happy.

She enjoyed putting them in her bag. I forgot to get a cute little bucket so we just had a grocery store bag. :)

And she especially enjoyed it when she realized that there was CANDY in the eggs! That was great!

We also saw the Easter bunny. She was so excited until it was our turn. Then she just wanted to enjoy him from a distance. :)

I'm surprised that you haven't called and asked why no updates Grandpa Hartman?! :) Sorry everyone. I had lots of pictures just needed to put them on the computer. So here's some catch up for you...

Here is fancy pants after her lip healed. You almost can't see it and that was a week ago. Now it's even better!

When Gracie goes to lay down for a nap her dad will often ask her if she wants to bring anything. This is what she chose. Notice the rings on her feet too!
