First Apple

Someone found an apple in the fridge. She brought it to her daddy who put it on the end table. Later that day she was suddenly quiet. I went to check on her and this is what I found. She ate some bits and pieces out of it and had a good time.
When she was done, she found a very good place to keep her apple.

:)

Does anyone who blogs ever have it where their Title part sits on top of the edit posts button? I'm not sure how to get it to change. When I click on a new post I can see it for a second and then the words "title" go over top of it. hmmm...

Thankful Thursday

Today I'm thankful for:
  • my MOPS group.  I am enjoying meeting these ladies and getting to know new people.
  • Tuesday night Bible Study.  It gets me out of the house for some "me time" and I am learning so much about the Psalms of Ascent and getting closer to Him.
  • Grace's fun exploring spirit.  She's busy and I know she's learning new things every day.
  • being able to stay home with her.  I love this chance.  there are days that I'm so ready for Shane to come home but I love watching her play and learn and grow.

  • And for those days when I can't wait for Shane to come home?  I'm thankful for PBS.  Grace has discovered TV.  I love it.  You can call me a bad mom, think it, or whatever, but that half hour before he comes and I'm trying to cook dinner are hard.  She wants to be WITH ME.  Like in my arms.  So PBS is saving the day.  I'll try not to abuse this privilege but let me tell you, it's great!
PS- notice that baby in her arms?  She carries it everywhere!

Curious George

She's getting more and more curious.  And also coordinated.  She can get onto and off the couch, onto and off our bed and in and out of cupboards!  She loves to play in the back of Shane's truck and she can even crawl into her carseat.
This was at Grandpa and Grandma Diane's house.  They have new cupboards and Gracie wanted to make sure that they worked ok.  She said they are to her satisfaction.

She also gave her stamp of approval on the new stools.

The Hartman Family

We had a great time visiting with the Hartman extended family a few weeks ago!  Here are some pictures of that day.

First time on a trampoline!

Here is Gracie's first time on a trampoline!  We went to the Hartman reunion last week and we had a great time.  (I'll post a few pics of that tomorrow)
She wasn't too sure at first but she loved the bouncing!
If you could have heard her on this one you would have heard uncontrollable giggles!

Praising the Lord

So yesterday I thought I lost my blog. I deleted an email account that I never used and it was hooked to the blog and it was gone.  Gone.  I was SO SO upset.  (like crying all afternoon upset) Shane came home and tried to help me. I was ready to give up.  But he encouraged me to keep trying so I kept searching and late last night... I got it back!  The lesson?  NEVER delete anything! :)

So here are a few pics of her in the last year... just to remember.  Also I did a few changes on the blog... a new start!  I will say though, by last night I wasn't nearly as upset. I still have all my pictures.  I still have the REAL thing playing with her baby doll and pulling out all her books right her in the living room.  I am still blessed.  But I am SO very thankful that I got the blog back. Thank you Lord!

Mom's trip to Texas

I know this is a Gracie blog but I thought I'd put a few pics of our texas trip up!  Joanne, Jodi, and I flew to texas to visit Nicole, a friend we used to work with at Huntington.  We had a great time!
Yes, this is like the ONE picture we have that doesn't involve food.  And we had to purposefully make that happen. :)

Do you know what Sonic is?  HEAVEN!  :) We went there every day.  They have half price drinks from 2-4pm.  Loved it.

But more importantly, do you know what Sprinkles is?  Oh.MY.Word.  These are more than just cupcakes.  They were over the top.  We got different kinds.  I won't show the pics of how we attacked them.  Just know they were that good.

And this is pretty much how we spent the rest of the time.  It was so much fun!  I missed my little lady more than I thought I would but I had a great time.

If Mama's doin it.....

I was trying to get a shower in.  She was in the bathroom walking around with the bedroom tv remotes.  I did manage to keep those out of the shower but not her.
This hasn't happened in a while. When she realized that we were going to capitalize on it and actually clean her she stopped getting in.
But on this day she just crawled right in.  She was a bit shocked at how heavy her clothes ended up feeling but when I got out, she made herself right at home.

For Grandpa

Sorry Grandpa!  Grace wants you to know that it's her mom's fault that the blog hasn't been updated.  It's not because of the lack of photo moments.  :)
On a nice day last week we walked down to the beach.  She loved sitting in the sand and planing with rocks.  They are her new favorite thing to pick up.
After a boat went by she ventured towards the water.  She even went in as far as her little tootsies.
We probably spent about a half hour there.  It was very relaxing and fun.

Isn't her hair getting long?!

Michigan Family

This great big bunch of people all got together on Sunday.  They are my mom's side of the family- The Sherds. This was the biggest group we had!  If you could look closer at these people they have their eyes closed- ha!  (or they should!)  It's a little trick my friends and I started doing about 4 years ago- "eyes closed picture"  I love that my family all played my game. :)
Gracie loved being at Aunt Michelle's.  She loved the toys there and the great big playhouse.  She was so happy to be in there.
She's getting a little squirrley about being in the car for long periods of time (or even short bits of time!!!)  but she was so happy to be there!

Her usual "cheese" face. :)
